Response System

Due to an impending vacancy, the National Urban Search & Rescue (US&R) Response System (the System) is soliciting to fill the following White Incident Support Team (IST) position:

 

• Leader – Deputy (1)

 

In accordance with PD 2012-15 – Incident Support Team Administration, interested individuals shall submit their application by 17:00 EST on May 17th, 2026, using the submission link on https://www.responsesystem.org.  The application and letter of support must be completed and submitted through the upload link tab.  Interested personnel must be qualified for ISTL-Deputy either on an existing IST Standing Roster or on the IST Alternate List.

 

Candidates shall use the provided application and include the following elements related to the position applied for: education and training (do not include US&R general training requirements); response experience in Type 1, 2, or 3 incidents (include incident, date, and position filled); and miscellaneous activities (including participation in national or regional work groups or committees; development of programs at the department, regional, or national levels; and any other significant and relevant activities).
