Peer Support Provider Solicitation

As announced in the recent Program Directive 2025-011, a tiered response is being constructed to support

Behavioral Health needs of deployed System resources.  In support of that effort, this memorandum is soliciting System members interested in deploying as an augment to the Incident Support Team to support System personnel during operations.

Overview of Program Directive 2025-011:

This new Program Directive provides several requirements and recommendations for System.  One requirement is to approach operational support for the System in a tiered fashion based on needs identified by the IST and deployed TF Leaders.  A primary goal is to utilize resources internal to the System to promote use by System members seeking assistance with behavioral health concerns.

One tier relies on a Peer Support Provider “Force Package” that can deploy at the direction of the IST and support requirements during operations.  The intent is that these trained individuals can support either or both the IST and deployed Task Forces during operations.  This resource is based on identified needs and will not be deployed on every incident.

Application Process:

Interested individuals shall submit their application by 1700 ET on September XX, 2025 using the Submission Link on responsesystem.org.  In order to be considered, applicants must complete and submit the application and letter of support.  If accepted, they will be considered as augmentation personnel to an IST deployment.

Candidates shall use the application provided and include the following elements:

  • Type of PSP training completed

    • The PD 2025-011 lists types of PSP training that are accepted.

  • Recognition in Sponsoring Agency or Participating Agency as a currently serving PSP

  • Years of service as a PSP

Follow on Requirements:

If selected, System members will be required to undergo IST onboarding and provide availabilities monthly to the Branch for deployment.
